Why DuéPasti

Dué Pasti means ‘Two Meals’ in Italian. We first learned about the two-meals-a-day-only concept from Dr. Jagannath Dixit, a social and preventive medicine professor from India. The idea is simple yet profound, based on fasting. It follows the basic rules of how human body functions with relation to hunger & insulin production. Subsequently, my husband did a lot of research around this idea and found similar approaches put forth by Dr. Jason Fung, a Canadian nephrologist, and Prof. Mark Mattson, Neuroscience, John Hopkins University. For those fascinated by the science behind this lifestyle, here are some cool videos – Dixit, Mattson, Fung.

Here are some thoughts from my husband who has personally experienced many benefits – Lifestyle, Eating Choices & the pursuit of Happiness.

We must say that DuéPasti has been a game changer!

Of course, there are all the health benefits of weight management, blood sugar control, energy and vitality. But, a pleasant side effect has been around greater awareness of our body, mind and soul. So we are going back to the basics – following a simpler living, and revitalizing some long lost wisdom of ancient times.

Make no mistake, DuéPasti is NOT about dieting or austerity or deprivation of any kind.

In fact, its about fueling the body with highly delicious, even some indulgent food at times. Just follow some basic DuéPasti Lifestyle principles & transform your life. Inspired by the insights from Dr. Dixit, Dr. Fung, Prof. Mattson, and other experts, DuéPasti is all about mindful and satisfying food.

We wish you a vibrant & purposeful life fueled by DuéPasti!
