Easy Fried Rice

Cooking Time: Less than 15 minutes

With home made fried rice you can control the greasiness and sodium without sacrificing flavor! Add a few sides to the rice and a wholesome meal can be on the table in less than 30 minutes. Scroll down for some time saving tips for busy bodies.

  • Whisk 6 eggs with some salt and black pepper
  • Scramble them on high heat in a wok with 1 tbsp vegetable oil and set aside
  • Microwave 2-3 cups of frozen veggies for about 2 minutes
  • Saute them in the same wok on high heat with 1-2 tbsp oil; about 2 minutes
  • Sprinkle 1 tbsp sesame oil, 2 – 3 tbsp soy sauce, salt & black pepper per taste
  • Add back the scrambled eggs and mix with veggies; let cook for 1 minue
  • Add 4 cups of precooked rice and mix well so the fried rice comes together
  • Let everything cook for about 2 more minutes while stirring the rice in the wok
  • Garnish with chopped green onions

Time Savers! Precook rice in Instant Pot. Whisk eggs and store in air tight container in the fridge. We usually do these things in quick 5 minutes before leaving for work in the morning.
